The presence of taqwa is recognized by three things:
Rushing to fulfill Allah’s commands;
Seeking nothing from people;
Speaking and acting only for what benefits one in this life and in the Hereafter.

This lecture focuses on the struggles a Muslim individual experience especially during his undergraduate life. Characteristics such as envy, greed, backbiting, fantasizing, hatred, worldly desires, relying on others other than God, false hopes, vanity, fraud, anger, heedlessness and boasting can hurt our iman (faith). For every problem, there is a solution. The speaker will propose solutions, as reflected in the Quran and Sunnah, to combat the aforementioned characteristics so as to bring ourselves closer to our Lord.The speaker will also address the fundamentals of Islam that a Muslim should commit to such as prayer and fasting to develop and discipline oneself.
